Teago Grange Theatre

South Pomfret, Vermont –

Engineering Services of Vermont provided mechanical engineering services on this project involving the complete renovation of a circa 1910 Grange into a private theater space for 100 people.  The building was originally a Grange Hall, had been converted to a country store and is now undergoing a renovation to a local theater. The challenges on this project included designing HVAC system which would be capable of proving adequate comfort to this space while working within the limitations of the existing building construction. We utilized a 10 ton low velocity heating and cooling system using fabric dispersion duct systems which were hung at the upper part of the seating area and low architectural floor returns. The design also included large low velocity desertification fans to allow the two story theater space to be conditioned and ventilated during mild weather without the use of cooling.

River Town Design of Hartford, Vermont led the design of this renovation project.
